I'm off to the Jerry Robinson memorial. Normally I don't take any time off during the day, but this was pretty important. To comics, to Batman and to me. I supplied a wonderful piece of art to help Jerry Robinson when he was sick. And I just want to say that we live in such a fantastic time, where science and medicine are allowing people to live longer and longer. Everyone should have the chance to get the very best medical care available. You've surely heard about the Gary Friedrich auction which will be a great place to get some terrific art and help a guy in need. Here's the letter I wrote on my own page and has appeared all over.

Next week - Batman: Odyssey Volume2 #5 ships next week. We're gettin' down to the big finish and I'm super-excited. Lots of great art and story in this issue and it leads right into the Kevin Nowlan-inked issue and then...the final issue. Written, penciled and inked by yours truly. Check out the art I've posted and I hope you tell your friends about this series.

I just handed in Chapter 8 of Blood to Dark Horse Presents and this one is great! Goooood story and new characters and a new direction. The preview is over - now it's time for the REAL story!

Just thought I'd mention that this is going to be a great year. I'm a big fan of bringing new people into comics (with DC Comics 52) and all the big stuff going on at Marvel. I'm loving comics more now than ever before. The movies this year connected to comics are going to be epic! Batman, THE AVENGERS, wow. Everyone here at Continuity is excited. I'm doing some new comics' work that will be announced soon with a character everyone knows and loves, I'm finishing off Batmandyssey with Kevin Nowlan, Moose Baumann and Cory (two terrific colorists) and some guy named Neal Adams. I'm going to a bunch of Conventions this year, but I haven't ironed out all the details. I will definitely be in San Diego July 12th - 15th, 'cause it's so much fun.

The tenth issue in my Batman series will be on sale next week - January 18th. We're coming down to the end and it's getting pretty exciting. I'm very proud of this series and the people who have contributed to it. I've worked with many of the industry's bext inkers and colorists and told a great story. It's been a thrill to step back into the world of a character I am closely associated with and be able to update him and his universe while remaining true to his roots. Stick with me and I promise a killer ending...no, really. Check out the cover to Vol2. #4 and a couple pages of the interiors to get you excited about next week's release. January 18th. Batman.
